The 41 List: 41 role models in the Latina/o LGBTQ community

In 1901, 41 men were arrested, beaten and tortured for being gay. Their names where put on a list that condemned them and their families to a life of ridicule and shame.

Today, The 41 List honors and celebrates how far we have come in 100 years as a Latina/o LGBTQ community.

The 41 individuals on The 41 List are role models for our community and for future Latina/o LGBTQ generations. They are successful, inspirational and live their lives “out” and with honor.

You will soon be able to nominate Latina/o LGBTQ individuals for the 2014 edition of The 41 List.

Come back to this website soon for a look at the criteria and to submit your nomination.
